Japanese fashion designer, photographer, sculptor and artist Tatsuko Horikawa shared the Paris Fashion Week–Haute Couture’s catwalk with famous brands such as Dior, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. However, he surprised the public with a male bra designed for the spring-summer season 2009, as seen on the image.

Some men like transparent shirts but they dislike showing their torso completely. Hence “Julios”, by Tatsuko Horikawa, designed this new kind of strapless underwear. The male bra is a simple black stripe worn in the top of the chest, under transparent shirts or informal jackets combined with parachute-like Capri trousers and military boots.

The transparent tunic is the icon of male fashion, representing a similar phenomenon as proposed by Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent who wanted to make female clothes manly. In this case, Horikawa wants to add female details to male wear. Again, the short tunic ends at the top of the thighs and it is combined with knickers or shorts.

Julios’ guys shave their chest but they are muscular and have their hair in a mess hidden under pilot hats made of leather.
